More Delay

11:45 am in The Tweetup by TheTweeps

Well the tweetup was a big success except for one thing: we didn’t see a launch.

As of right now the earliest NASA says space shuttle Discovery will launch is November 30th. They are dealing with several technical issues ranging from a leaky Hydrogen vent to a cracked fuel tank. In the mean time many of us have gone home. But fear not! We will be back. As soon as we get word of an official launch date most of us will come back down to the cape to finally watch a launch.

Pictures of what we did see are here:

Shuttle Delayed Again

10:14 am in The Launch by TheTweeps

A news breifing thus morning confirmed that mission controllers are delaying liftoff of space shuttle Discovery until Wednesday afternoon. Event though they think they were able to fix the leaky valves from the other day, refilling the Helium system will take long enoght to push back the launch.

Discovery is now set to launch at 3:47 pm EDT Wednesday the 3rd.
